October 5, 2012

Today, it’s a good idea to gift an apple or card to your favorite teacher. Why? It’s World Teacher’s Day! It’s held annually on October 5th since 1994 when it was created by UNESCO to celebrate teachers worldwide. UNESCO’s goal was to mobilize support for teachers and to guarantee the needs of students will continue to be met by teachers. World Teacher’s Day is recognized in over 100 countries. Visit http://www.5oct.org/2012/index.php/en/ to send an e-card to your teachers and to upload photos of your World Teacher’s Day activities. Let your teachers know you care and appreciate their efforts.
